Adugone: Their Domain

Faced with mortal suffering, Elzeryn tore out their own spine and used it to grow a colossal tree at the heart of the continent of Adugone. Since then, their healing magic regenerates wounds, restores youth, and purges disease from all surrounding mortals.

But even this paradise on earth is not safe from danger. Many have learned that physical violence is not the deadliest form, and many more still covet Elzeryn's blessing, unaware that the chalice of their magic will one day run dry.

Divine Lore

Origins and Nature

First-born of the gods, Elzeryn is one of the very first living beings to have ever existed in the universe of Everos. They are haunted by the idea of returning to their original solitude, and strive to create life wherever they go.

Mortality is a foreign concept to them. Upon their first exposure to the death of a creature, Elzeryn decided to take matters into their own hands so that no one would ever be torn from them again.

Elzeryn's Minor Gods

By their very nature, Elzeryn has given birth to many minor gods. Though these children believe themselves entrusted with a mission from their progenitor, in truth Elzeryn needs no reason to conceive and populate the world.

Dorund

Elzeryn's first child, Dorund is a confidant and counsellor, the opposite of his parent: pragmatic, secretive, and cold. He brings a different perspective and much nuance to Elzeryn's creation.

Veridis

Passionate about her parent's infinite love, Veridis uses her mastery of flesh and genetics to multiply herself and roam her parent's land, keeping all the unworthy at a distance. Since killing goes against Elzeryn's will, she reconfigures those she deems unworthy into copies of herself, both in appearance and essence.

Lacross

One of Elzeryn's youngest children, Lacross crackles with overflowing, burning divine energy. He roams the world of Everos seeking to save the widow and the orphan, but he has only a slight grasp of mortal customs, and of their fragility…

Tierra

Elzeryn's latest-born, Tierra suffers from a terrible fissure from which her magic leaks. She must be constantly replenished to maintain her existence, yet this does not stop her from enjoying her life and flying through the skies, scattering the world with magical particles.

The Embrace of Elzeryn

The Embrace of Elzeryn is the name given to the healing aura that radiates from the World-Tree of Adugone. It is a constant discharge of fertile magical energy that bathes Adugone in an eternal spring: flowers bloom year-round, trees bear fruit without cease, wounds close instantly, disease does not exist, and youth is everlasting.

But this magic is Elzeryn's, emptying little by little for the benefit of others.

Dorund, one of Elzeryn's first children, surrounded the Embrace with the Black Forest, a dark and dense wood in which the unworthy lose themselves, a vain hope of reducing the number of those who enjoy (and drain) Elzeryn's blessing.
